10,000 SF Lounge located in the center of the Mandalay Bay Casino floor. THOMAD provided structural engineering expertise to create the space and interior facades for a unique lounge experience with least disruption to casino operations.
THOMAD worked very closely with the architect & contractor to design several different types of complicated sub-floor systems during demolition to avoid over loading the existing casino slab which is suspended above underground garage.
Limited as-built drawings presented additional structural design & construction challenges.
Interior Facade Support Structures were designed & constructed with least disruption to the casino surrounding areas:
LED dance floor, visual projections and effects, several different types of private seating areas including large party pods and rotating private pods with interactive touch screen tables and iPod connectivity
New elevator shaft cut through existing casino & underground parking garage floor slabs
