January 21, 2020: The flagship branch of Altar’d State in Las Vegas at the Forum Shops is now complete, and the new store is open for business.
THOMAD Engineering was the structural engineer for this impressive TI design. Structural design and construction included the following major components:
- Mezzanine Floor Addition
- Elevator Addition
- New Grand Stairs and Employee Stairs
- Tempered Plate Glass Panel Storefront System
- Greenhouse Structure
- Specialty Ceiling Soffits
THOMAD Engineering diligently worked with the project Architect, Owner-Developer-Tenant and general contractor to deliver this exciting fashion boutique store.
December 20, 2019: Construction of the Fairfield Inn and Suites Marriott Hotel is complete. The 4-story, about 50,000 sf hotel is located at Sky Pointe Drive off Ann Road and US-95 Highway in Las Vegas.
THOMAD Engineering is the Structural Engineer of Record. The new hotel will be a great addition to the rapidly growing Centennial Hills area.
December 27, 2018: The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is adding a new Student Union (SU) building at each of its 3 campuses: North Las Vegas, West Charleston and Henderson. Each building will be 25,000 SF and the plan includes a food court, meeting rooms, study space, courtyards, offices and multicultural center. Construction of the $80 million project started in the summer 2018 and the grand opening is set for the fall 2019 semester. The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is the general contractor and TSK is the project architect.
THOMAD Engineering provided engineering and design services for the curtain walls and storefront systems for all 3 buildings and created a BIM Revit model for use in the clash detection and coordination process during construction.
